Welcome to my blog! Lots of fun and Lots to read.
The pictures are beautiful. Looks like a peaceful day.
These pictures are beautiful! I love nature! Looks so peaceful.
What a beautiful, peaceful-looking place! Wish I lived near there because now I want to go! :)
Nice fall pictures! I really like that unique tree!
Thank you :) Sadly this is our winter in Louisiana. I would give anything for a real winter with some snow.
I would trade you our snow and Friday's potential rain/ice storm for a beautiful walk in the park with changing leaves and mild Lousiana weather. Should we talk?
Marcia, I would love it for maybe one winter. I don't know if I could handle the ice storm...yikes!
Beautiful photos! I long for Spring! My favorite photo is of the tree beside the water!
It looks like you had a nice relaxing day communing with nature. You take beautiful pictures.
What a beautiful area. Looks like a great place to get out and relax. This reminds me that we need to head out and have a day to relax in the woods or by the river and maybe do a little fishing.
is that where big foot lives?..lol..sure looks like a place i need to visit..thanks
What a wonderful idea! Sounds like a great way to destress and just escape the holiday bustle. I love that you and your husband went together. The photos are great!
We used to have a year pass for our state parks when the kids were little! Alas, it seems I don't really go to them as much anymore. LOL Well, I DO live in the same woods as the parks are, so I have the same "things" I guess! We used to go to parks near us with lakes since that is the one thing we don't have! Or other features we don't have like cliffs and things for the kids to climb.
I like how you found so much vibrant color after the season changed!
That is beautiful.I live in the woods on a plantation and I love it!
Beautiful! I was born in Louisiana--this looks sort of like home to me.
Gorgeous! It looks like a great place to visit.
Seeing your pictures, I think you picked a beautiful place to distress.
Escaping into nature is a good way to destress. I'm glad you got to have this break with your husband. It looks like a nice trail, too.
How pretty is that park Bogue Chitto State Park, in Louisiana, looks like you had nice and relaxing day, I like that they have the wooden walkways and the variety you showed in your pictures. Thank you for sharing.
I like the picture taken from the 2nd story. Very cool shot. I'd love to go there.
The pictures are lovely.
You took some different photos...different angles and close-ups. Very nicely done. A great way to capture the feel of the day.
I bet it was a wonderful day at Bogue Chitto State Park. What state is that in? Looks so peaceful.
Your pictures compare to some of the beautiful parks we have in Wisconsin, except that they are snow-covered now.
I like the red berries photo.
A wonderful day for a walk in the woods. Looks like a nice trail and out of the way. How peaceful!
Going to nature parks is so relaxing. That picture of the branch, third to the last, is my favorite.
I did a name search for Bogue Chitto and in Choctaw it means big creek. It also is used to refer to clear, swift flowing rivers. We have creeks, but am glad to say they are not swift flowing rivers. Our creeks usually are located behind someone's property.
Such beautiful scenery and photos. Wish I were there right now!
It's really pretty seeing the small bits of color against the brown of the trees.
Nice photography....just goes to show how beautiful nature is year round. That tree photo is particularly amazing, it looks other-worldly.
Love the pictures!
I love the two side-by-side pictures of the purple flowers and the red berries. I'm glad the birds saved the berries so we could have a glimpse of their beautiful color.
My favorite place to be is the woods. It's just so peaceful and relaxing. It's been a long time since I've hiked and I really miss it.
Like the photos.
Looks like a fun, calm day. We all need these sometimes. It's great that you were able to get outdoors and enjoy it.
Really great photos, I'd love to see more! I miss seeing green!
Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful combination: nature & sharing it with your hubby = stress free day.
I'd love to see some more pics. They are very pretty.
Hope you can have a relaxing day like this now that Christmas is over. I think we all need it. :)
If you are still having mild weather, this would be a perfect place for "Northerners" to travel to, especially this winter. It's cold & the weatherman on our local station just warned us that it's going to get colder!
Hope you are still having good weather and can maybe go to the park this weekend.
I love walking on a carpet of fallen leaves. Makes me want to scoop some up and toss a bunch overhead.
That is such a pretty place.
Hope you get to go this weekend and take some more photos. The weather here is nice today for December. Hopefully, your weather is, too.
nothing more beautiful than nature, we experienced an ice storm up here in Toronto this week and as nasty as mother nature is we could still appreciate the beauty of the snow and ice on all the trees and bushes. Thanks for sharing!
Very nice photos. Great framing and color.
Love the photos!
It's nice to take a walk in nature sometimes...very relaxing.
These photos make me dream of a warmer happier time! I get dreadfully depressed with these long PA winters but looking at what is to come helps!
It's nice to be able to just take a day and spend it in the peacefulness of nature.
Beatiful! Don't see anything like that in Southern California!
Wishing for your weather today. Hope your New Year's is beautiful!
Happy New Year! Pictures are beautiful =)
Beautiful I grew up in an area that looked a lot like that and have very fond memories of walks through the trees and near the river
Looks like such a beautiful place to spend the day taking pictures.
I love being outdoors. We like to go for walks in the fall and just look at all of the wonderful colors.
The park would be a great way to start the new year...if your weather is still nice. Happy New Year and enjoy the beauty of the season and outdoors.
