Headache Hammock Review and Giveaway!!

While searching for something to relieve my stress headaches, I came across the 
Headache Hammock. 
Most of my headaches are cause by stress and tension. I am constantly rubbing the base of my head and neck trying to relieve the pressure. I read everything I could find about it. I am very interested in anything that I can use that does not require taking medications. I have tried massagers and heating pads with only minimal relief. 

I was sent the Headache Hammock to try. The great thing about it is that you can use warm or cold therapy with it. It can be warmed in the microwave or placed in the freezer. Cold seems to work best for my headaches so I placed it in the freezer for 20 minutes. I put the Headache Hammock on the ground and after just a couple of minutes I could feel the tension easing. After about 10 minutes my headache was gone. The only problem I had was that I didn't want to get up. I was so comfortable. The Headache Hammock felt like what I wish my pillow would do for my head at night. 

It's difficult to see from the pictures, but it is made of foam and is very comfortable. It cradled my head and neck like it was made especially for me.

My Husband and I love Halloween. We love it so much that we were married on Halloween. It is so much fun to spend our Anniversary every year dressing up in costumes and going out.

Therafit Renee Shoes Review

A few years ago while at work I had a bad injury to my ankle. After an ankle reconstruction surgery, my ankle is good as new. The only drawback is that the area where my scar is at, gets irritated and makes work very uncomfortable. That means, no boots like I use to wear. I needed a good pair of work shoes. By the way, I have never mentioned what my career is on my blog. I am a police officer. Specifically, I am a Sergeant on Patrol.  

Yep, that's me.

Some days I am on my feet for long periods of time. Walking and sometimes running is part of the job. I wanted a good pair of work shoes that could take some of the stress off of my feet. I was really excited to try

 I have tried many different types of work shoes since my surgery. The first day of wearing them at work I noticed that they were very soft on the inside. I had the control and stability that I was looking for in my work shoes. 

After several hours, my feet were not aching. After a 12 hour shift, my feet were not hurting at all. I have to say that these are the most comfortable work shoes that I have ever tried. 

The Renee Shoe is great not only for work but also for walking. Nurses would love these shoes and they do come in white.

New Orleans Spicy Remoulade Sauce

I have to admit it...I have an addiction to crab cakes with Remoulade Sauce. Not really, but I do love them. I have already shared with you my recipe for crabmeat stuffed flounder. You can't have crab without the sauce, that would be a sin. Another fun thing to do with Remoulade Sauce is to toss some fried shrimp in it and serve as an appetizer Hope you like it!

New Orleans Spicy Remoulade Sauce

2 cups of mayonnaise 

1 small jar Dijon Mustard or Creole Mustard

3 tbsp ketchup

5 tbsp horseradish sauce

4 cloves garlic crushed and minced

About a handfull of green onions that have been chopped finely

1 tsp Tabasco Sauce  

dash of cajun seasoning

dash of paprika

Place everything in a bowl and mix until well blended. Serve with Crab Cakes, Fried Green Tomatoes, Fried Pickles, or anything you could put mayo on.

Carolina Castile Soap Review

When I was contacted by Carolina Castile Soap to do a review I was really excited. What my family has known for a long time is that I love Castile Soap. I use it for everything around the house. 

I have two small dogs and a cat. Although we take care of keeping fleas off of our animals, we get fleas in the house. I had read that mopping with peppermint castile soap would help rid your house of fleas. I don't have carpet but I have a few rugs. There was no exact science to how much I used, but I filled my mop sink about half way with hot water and added about a half of a cup of Carolina Peppermint Castile Soap. After one week of mopping with the Carolina Peppermint Castile Soap, they were gone! It worked! 

Castile Soap has so many uses:

1. You can use it as a dish soap. I have found it works great on pots and pans. It breaks down the grease.

2. Vegetable Cleaner- I add 1 tablespoon of Carolina Castile Soap to 2 Cups of water. 

3. Hand Soap- I refill a foaming hand soap dispenser over and over again. 1 part Soap to 5 parts water. I love using the Lavender for this. Saves me bunches.

4.  This one is my favorite- Dog Shampoo! Dog shampoos are sooo expensive. Mix 1 part Soap and 2 parts Water. It works great! 

5. Household cleaner- In a spray bottle I add 1/2 cup of soap to 3 cups of water. I use it to clean the bathroom, counter tops, table, etc. They even have it in Citrus Scent. 

Did you know you can even use it as a laundry detergent? I just found out and can't wait to try it. Check out Carolina Castile Soap for more uses.
