New Orleans Spicy Remoulade Sauce

I have to admit it...I have an addiction to crab cakes with Remoulade Sauce. Not really, but I do love them. I have already shared with you my recipe for crabmeat stuffed flounder. You can't have crab without the sauce, that would be a sin. Another fun thing to do with Remoulade Sauce is to toss some fried shrimp in it and serve as an appetizer Hope you like it!

New Orleans Spicy Remoulade Sauce
2 cups of mayonnaise
1 small jar Dijon Mustard or Creole Mustard
3 tbsp ketchup
5 tbsp horseradish sauce
4 cloves garlic crushed and minced
About a handfull of green onions that have been chopped finely
1 tsp Tabasco Sauce
dash of cajun seasoning
dash of paprika

Place everything in a bowl and mix until well blended. Serve with Crab Cakes, Fried Green Tomatoes, Fried Pickles, or anything you could put mayo on.

  1. Heard of it but have to say never tried it. I love your idea of tossing in some fried shrimp.

  2. This is a really good Sauce to make to put on so many items. I like the horseradish in this sauce and want to make it. I love Crab cakes and I would like to make Fried Green Tomatoes because I have heard they taste so delicious!

  3. Definitely sounds interesting.. I probably couldn't eat it. haha. I can do spicey stuff... just not too spicey.

  4. This sounds so scrumptious. I bet it is great with several entrees.
