I Think, Therefore I BLOG
My blogging addiction started when the semi-empty nest thing happened. My youngest son is now 16 and has a very active social and school life. I have a full time job being a police officer, but I only work 15 days a month. After surrounding my life around work, kids and home, I found myself with a lot of free time that I never had before. It was weird.
My friend has this great blog, Bless Their Hearts Mom. I had been reading her blog for awhile and talked to her about her blogging. Her passion for her blog was amazing. It was like a whole different world. All of the creativity in her life came alive and she shined when she talked about it. I wanted the same thing.
There is a part in all of us that wants to be creative. Blogging is a way for our alter egos to be set free on the world. I'm not Clark Kent. I don't walk around with the letter "B" (for Blogger) on a t-shirt underneath my daily clothes. However, I sometimes feel like it when I'm wearing my uniform at work. I love my job, but blogging is my passion. There is a sense of pride when I produce a great blog post. I want my readers to enjoy it as much as I do. I wonder if writers of novels feel the same way. There is this great sense of accomplishment sometimes that is hard to explain.
Next month makes one year since I started on this journey. As I look back at some of my earlier posts, I see how far I have come as a blogger, photographer wanna-be, and aspiring writer. My biggest accomplishment is that it has now inspired my husband to start blogging. Even he was bit by the Blogging Bug.
Whether you will have 5 readers or 5000, just blog and share your creativity with others.
