Autumn Fires by Robert Louis Stevenson

Autumn Fires

by Robert Louis Stevenson

In the other gardens

And all up the vale,
From the autumn bonfires
See the smoke trail!

Pleasant summer over
And all the summer flowers,
The red fire blazes,
The grey smoke towers.

Sing a song of seasons!
Something bright in all!
Flowers in the summer,
Fires in the fall!
Happy Fall!!!

  3. Fall - the cooler weather, crisp air, and beautiful colors. The world seems bathed in deep golds, and oranges, reds, and greens. I love all the colors.

  4. What a nice saying by Robert Louis Stevenson. I like Fall with all the changing of the leaves. But I do not like it when it gets dark so early.

  7. What an awesome poem by Robert Louis Stevenson. I like fall because of all the vibrant colors, from the changing of the leaves and the color of the Pumpkins. Halloween is fun!

  10. This is so true - the colors of fall are like flames of a fire. They burn in brilliant shades of oranges, reds, and yellows.

  12. Autumn is so beautiful. There is even a crisp smell/feel in the air. The colors change, and I try to send leaves to my grandkids in Florida.

  13. Bonfires, hayrides, and pumpkins galore! We see pumpkins at the stores and use them for decorating and pumpkin pies. It's the time of year for jackets and sweaters and warm, filling food.
