Stacey's Black Olive Bread
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/3 cup reserved juices
1 1/3 cups warm water
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon table salt
2 teaspoons dried onions
1 1/2 teaspoons dried rosemary
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup rye or whole wheat flour
2 1/4 teaspoons bread machine yeast (or 1 packet)
1/3 cup black olives, drained, chopped
Directions:
1. Mix the olive brine
with the 1 1/3 cups of warm water.
2 . Add all ingredients (except for the sliced olives) into
the bread machine in the order given, or as recommended
in you bread machine manual.
3 .Select Basic or White Bread setting; 2-lb loaf; medium crust.
4. If required, add more water or flour, a tablespoon at a
time, to form a firm, slightly sticky, non-crumbly ball of dough.
5. Add the sliced olives at the beep.
6. Let it bake in the bread machine or bake in a loaf pan in the oven 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
Makes one 2-lb loaf of olive bread.
