Kevin's Kandles
1 pack = 1,000 candle hours
Add water about half way in the jar. Add about 1/4 inch of vegetable oil slowly on top of water. Place wick in the holder. Place holder on top of oil. Light the Kevin's Kandle. This will last for up to 10 hours!
Mine has been burning for 6 hours and is still going strong. My son and I had fun with this. It is easy to put together and amazing how the design is so simple. We even knocked it over to see if ours would go out. It did! That was a great relief. This will be added to our disaster kit. I hope you all think about this for your kit too.

Candles are great but there is always the fear of fire. If you have small children, having candles around can also be a fear. What if your child knocks it over? (Please don't leave children unattended around any candles)
Kevin's Kandles is a great invention that makes it safe to have light in your home.
Kevin's Kandles normally go out when tipped over.

ReplyDeleteHis information on candle safety is eye opening. 150 civilian deaths with more than 30% occurring during a power outage. It makes you realize how important candle safety is. He is even taking steps to implement a candle movement throughout the world for safer, cheaper candle use in third world countries.
ReplyDeleteIn addition to the retail market, Kevin’s Kandles is proud to provide a special program for Fire Departments interested in distributing these candles as a fund raiser. - Great!

ReplyDeletei learned Kevin’s Kandles are being distributed in North America with a focus on providing a better and safer alternative to emergency candles presently available. This is very important, as experience has shown that the average family has approximately one hour of battery powered illumination at their disposal. During extended power failures people tend to become creative with their methods of illumination, often jeopardizing their safety.
ReplyDeleteI learned they are really, really affordable (10 bucks for 100 candles) and they stay lit for up to 10 hours. These would be great to add to my Hurricane box.
