Scraps Make The Nest Etsy Store
Review/Giveaway

Kimberly at ScrapsMakeTheNest Etsy Store is one of the best people I have ever worked with on a review.
Her Etsy Store has some of the cutest products for the home. I wish I could decorate my home and yard with all of the adorable artwork.  You just have to see them all to appreciate the hardwork and love that goes into each item. When I talked to her about her signs, I told her how much I loved the Kiss My Grit Sign.
I love the country antique look of it and it was exactly what my kitchen needed above my canning jars. I was so surprised when she asked what the colors were of my kitchen, and  then made a beautiful sign, hand painted exactly to the colors of my kitchen. The Hot Buttered Biscuits Sign looks perfect with my Blue, Pink and White kitchen.
I just have to share some of her other unique items:

All of her items are one of a kind. One of the fun things about ScrapsMakeTheNest is that Kimberly can make any item to order. If you love one of her items and would like certain colors to match your room, just shoot her a message and she is happy to make your item perfect for YOU!
ScrapsMakeTheNest is giving away a
 Kiss My Grits Sign
to one of my lucky readers! To make things even better, she will custom paint it!
Just imagine this beautiful sign in your own kitchen.

has been received or implied for this post. Nor was I told how to post about them. As with any product your opinion my differ from mine.

I was sent a pair of OTZ 300GMS Shoes for a review. The wonderful people at OTZ asked me to pick out the color that I wanted. With 27 different colors to choose from, it was so hard for me to choose. I decided on a neutral color, beige. I figured it would go with anything I would wear. Now that I have them, I want them in every color! These are the most comfortable and fun shoes. They are perfect for when I'm riding Piglet.

They are made with Cork. This lets you wear them with or without socks. It reduces bacteria buildup and they are washable. All you have to do is remove the footbed. I love that these are made with a soft linen.
Here is a little more information about the OTZ 300GMS:

  • Italian made coarse linen has been stone washed for a completely unique look and feel.

  • Anti-microbial cork footbed is anatomically designed to promote a healthy posture.

  • Natural jute is co-molded with the rubber outsole.

  • Upper is stitched directly to the outsole creating a unique design with minimal use of glues.

  • Fitted with our patent pending CORKlite™.

Look how much Piglet love them!

The OTZ 300GMS are the perfect shoes for riding Piglet, shopping or really for anything. OTZ Shoes also have other types of shoes for men and women. Here are just a few:

Disclosure / Disclaimer: I received this product, free of charge, from Gneiss Spice Etsy Store for review purposes on this blog. No other compensation, monetary or in kind,

Win A Set of 3 Wonderful Spices in Magnetic Jars from
***Gneiss Spice Etsy Store***
I think everyone knows how much I love Etsy Stores. I am addicted to Etsy. If you have never been to their site, you have no idea what you are missing. Gneiss Spice is a specialty spice store. They have a huge variety of spices. The spice jars are magnetic! You can stick them on your fridge or any other appliance. How cute is this?
I was sent the Smoked Salts to try:

It included three all-natural, smoky salts:

ALDER (North America)--Pacific Sea Salt is slow smoked over real alderwood, giving it an authentic, clean smoke flavor. Salish™ smoked sea salt is a 100% natural way to add authentic smoked flavor with no strange aftertaste. No liquid smoke, artificial flavors or coloring are added. Once referring to the Puget Sound, the name Salish comes from the Native American Indians- the first to inhabit the great Pacific Northwest. Red Alderwood has been used to smoke salmon and other meats for hundreds and hundreds of years, making it a true Northwest tradition. Small grain.

APPLE—A flaky sea salt that utilizes sweet Applewood to fuel the fires that flavor this naturally smoked sea salt. Aged Applewood is one of the most popular of the fruit woods used in smoking, and creates a delicious, savory flavor. Yakima Smoked Sea Salt has a subtle fruit wood flavor that is mild enough to use with fish, shellfish, and poultry. Pork, sausage, ham, and bacon are also delicious when cooked or cured with this smoked salt.

HICKORY—This salt is created when delicate Pacific sea salt flakes are naturally smoked over premium Hickory hard wood. The resulting smoke flavor is full and clean without the bitterness. No artificial flavors added. Hickory smoke is synonymous with southern cooking. Durango works magic with ribs, burgers, red meat, turkey, and chicken.

I decided to cook chicken breast using the Hickory Smoked
Salt. When I first opened the jar, the smell of smoked hickory filled the room.

A little bit of chicken, some black truffle oil, a dash of garlic powder, and some Hickory Smoked Salt...and voila! The Hickory was the perfect choice. It gave it such a wonderful smoky flavor that complimented the Black truffle oil perfectly.

Here are a few other things that Gneiss Spice has to offer:

Snapea Crisps Review

Harvest Snaps has provided me with products for purposes of providing a review. I received the products at no charge to me and I am under no obligation to return the product but can keep it for my own personal use. The following review is the opinion of the owner of this blog. As with all products, your opinion may vary.

Looking for a light and yummy summer snack?

I contacted Harvest Snaps about their products Snapea Crisps.
I love Snap Peas and love the idea of this type of snack. Snapea Crisps are made with 70% Snap peas that are non-GMO. Isn't that fantastic? They have the consistency of onion round snacks. I brought them to work and let some of my co-workers try them. I didn't tell them how they are full of protein and fiber, I just let them try the different flavors.

Wasabi Ranch was a hit with everyone. If you like Wasabi you will like these. The have that Wasabi spice that makes them hot, but not too much.

Now, these were my favorite. I liked the hint of black pepper. Not too hot and the perfect crisp. These are light and airy and the perfect treat during summer.

These seemed to be another favorite of everyone at work. They had an onion type flavor. This definitely reminded me of those onion ring treats that are not very healthy. What a great alternative!

They also sent the Tomato Basil, Onion Thyme and the Lightly Salted. Everyone at worked liked them. I wasn't a big fan of the Onion Thyme. It had a strong Thyme flavor. But if you like Thyme, this is a great snack.
Harvest Snaps also has a line of Lentil Snaps. Check out their site for more information.

You can find these at the following stores:
Walmart/Target/Costco/Albertsons/Safeway
and many more....

The Road Not Taken

As I sat at home today and received unexpected and wonderful news, I began reflecting over some of my choices that have led me to where I am now. Many times I have come to crossroads.  Some roads have led to pain and learning. Some have led to happiness and learning. The fact is, when at the crossroads, all roads were "less traveled",  because the outcome was unknown to ME.  Each path was chosen by me and each path has formed who I am.

Please enjoy one of my favorite poems and I would love to hear about some of your "roads".

The Road Not Taken

by Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

The Buffer Bit Review/Giveaway

Disclosure / Disclaimer: I received this product, free of charge, from Buffer Bit for review purposes on this blog. No other compensation, monetary or in kind,
has been received or implied for this post. Nor was I told how to post about them. The opinion is mine, as with any product, your opinion may vary.

This is one of the coolest inventions. I contacted Buffer Bit because I had seen their product in an email for a handyman website that I love. You know I'm always on the lookout for more home improvement projects for Hubby and I to do. When I read more about Buffer Bit, I couldn't wait to tell my Hubby about it. I knew this was something he would love.

Buffer Bit is a great product for getting the best shine out of your shoes, cars, motorcycles etc. There are so many different uses for Buffer Bit. It even brought a shine back to my bathroom fixtures.

It is an easy to use product that attaches to any cordless drill. There are three buffer pads included.
Here are several pictures for you to see before and after Buffer Bit.

These are Hubby's icky looking work boots before Buffer Bit. I know...they look disgusting. Long days in the heat and dirt have taken their toll.

Hubby used a little bit of his favorite shoe polish, waited a few minutes, and then began. He attached Buffer Bit to his cordless drill. It took about 3-5 minutes and he was done.

Can you see how different they look now? This is just unbelievable!

We are really excited to try out Buffer Bit on our cars and our boat. Piglet Scooter could even use a good shine with Buffer Bit.

The nice people at Buffer Bit has offered to give away Buffer Bit to 3 Lucky Readers!!!!
