  57. Here's a funny story. For my internship in college, I went to New York City to work on a film. For part of them time, I stayed with a friend in New Jersey and commuted to the city. First was a 25 minute walk (downhill to the train, uphill...of course...on the way back) then a 1/2 hour train ride, then about 45 minutes of getting lost in the subways and streets. So I decided to buy a scooter - not the kind that you are talking about but the kind with 2 wheels and a handle bar that you use your foot on the ground to propel. So early one morning, about 5:00am, I used my scooter for the first time to go downhill to the train. Well, it was dark out and I was on the sidewalk instead of the road...seemed safer at the time...until I hit a huge crack in the sidewalk and flipped over my scooter, then rolled about 15 feet. I actually wasn't hurt but my pride was when I looked up and saw a witness to the scene. Okay so to answer your question, I've never ridden a motorized scooter and will never again ride a peddle one!

    ReplyDelete
  58. No, but my son has. I have absolutely no coordination. When I rode my bike as a college student, I always ran into things.

    ReplyDelete
  59. yes indeed not as easy as it looks
